Unlike articulated or gondola-type cages, a fixed cage is compact and built for repetitive bay configurations where the twistlock layout is predictable. The cage is suspended under a spreader or hook and provides secure access to the top of container stacks, featuring guardrails, reinforced flooring, anti-slip surfaces and certified lifting points. Fixed cages are often preferred in smaller terminals, feeder vessel operations or locations where the container configuration does not require extended lateral movement.
